"The Journey of Growth: How Time Shapes Us”

“This Room, This Journey…✨” Hey, Right now, I’m just sitting and tutoring — the usual. But suddenly, I paused and looked around my room… and something felt different . 💭 This room didn’t always look like this. There’s a poster on the wall 🖼️, curtains gently swaying 🌬️, a whiteboard filled with scribbles, a desk, my own laptop 💻, a little bookshelf 📚, and some side plants (even if they’re artificial, they still bring peace 🌿). It wasn’t always like this. This cozy corner I now sit in — it didn’t appear overnight. It’s the result of a journey that’s taken over 2 and a half years . 💫 In the beginning, I didn’t even have my own bed in this room. But slowly, piece by piece, I made it mine. 🛏️ And then it struck me — If just a room took so much time to grow, to become what it is today… then of course, we humans need time too. 🌱 Not everything can or should change in an instant. True transformation takes time. ✨ Achievements overnight are good… but the growth of...

“Dancing Alone vs. Dancing with the Girls — A Social Psychology Twist”

Random Realization of the Day 💭✨ Aaj ka din thoda thoughtless sa lag raha tha — koi deep ya random soch dimaag mein aayi hi nahi. 😅 Maybe because I didn't intentionally sit down to reflect. But you know what? While studying Social Psychology today, I ended up noticing something interesting… about myself . 💡🧠 I realized how super confident I feel when I’m alone in my room, dancing like a total queen 👑🔥 — especially to item songs (yes, I said it 😜). I mean… the sass, the steps, the vibe — I be like “Main hi sabse hot hoon yahan!” 💃💅 But the moment I’m with my girls... poora scene change ho jaata hai. 😶😬 I get nervous, awkward even. Kabhi kabhi toh muh bhi ajeeb ban jaata hai jaise... “What the hell am I doing?” Suddenly I feel like the worst dancer in the room. 😭🫣 And then comes that dramatic inner voice: “Ewww Poonam, seriously?” 🤦‍♀️💀 Aur phir khud pe hi hansi aa jaati hai. "Pagal hai tu yaar!" 😂🫶 I don’t know... maybe I am a little ma...

EMOTIONS

Emotion is a very important part of human life. Emotions make humans different from other species. According to psychologists, emotion is a complex state of feeling that results in physical and psychological changes that influence thought and behavior. Emotions are subjective experiences that are often associated with mood, temperament, personality, and disposition. Some examples of emotions are joy, sorrow, fear, hate, love, etc. Emotion is also a reaction to a situation or stimulus. According to Paul Ekman, there are six basic emotions: Happiness😄 Sadness😔 Fear😨 Disgust😒 Anger😡 Surprise😮 These emotions are universal and experienced by people all over the world.

ARE MY FEELINGS VALID?

Sometimes I wonder — people often say that sharing your feelings helps with better understanding. But is that really true?🔊 In my case, whenever I try to open up, the other person often misunderstands me. They start thinking I'm blaming them, and then they feel the need to defend themselves. But that’s not my intention at all. I’m simply trying to express how I felt in a particular situation — not point fingers or accuse anyone. 👉Yesterday’s Story:💬 I told one of my friends that sometimes I feel like they don’t pay enough attention when I talk. It makes me feel as if my words don’t matter to them — like they don’t care. There have been moments when I truly felt that way. Maybe there were situations where they unintentionally made me feel ignored or unimportant. They say they care💖. But honestly, I don’t always see it in their actions💔. Am I asking for proof? No — I just want to be understood. So in the end, who wins — me or him? I walked away feeling misund...

Why I Started This Blog: Psychology for Everyone

📍 Introduction Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Poonam Kumari , and I’m currently a psychology student with a deep passion for understanding the human mind and raising awareness about mental health. I started this blog as a space to share what I learn, what I experience, and what I believe can help others lead healthier emotional lives. 🌱 Why Psychology? Psychology is not just a subject for me—it’s a way of seeing the world. Every emotion, every habit, every decision we make is connected to how our mind works. I’ve always been curious about why people behave the way they do, and now, as a student of psychology, I’m finally getting the tools to understand it better. ✨ Why This Blog? I noticed that many people—especially students and young people—don’t have access to simple, clear information about mental health. Many are still afraid to talk about things like stress, anxiety, or depression. So I decided to start this blog to: Share psychology concepts in simpl...
